Job Summary This position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to innovative research and development initiatives within the field of microbiology and molecular biology. The successful candidate will play a vital role in conducting microbial analyses, developing protocols, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure the generation of high-quality data. This role is ideal for individuals who are passionate about advancing scientific knowledge and making a tangible impact in agricultural sciences. Responsibilities Conduct microbiological analyses on a variety of microbial species to support internal research studies. Develop and refine protocols for Colony Forming Unit (CFU) quantitation and other microbiological techniques. Perform viability and stability assays following established standard operating procedures (SOPs). Process diverse sample types for microbial recovery and cultivation across multiple media types. Prepare, analyze, and communicate experimental data and findings to internal teams and stakeholders. Operate, troubleshoot, and maintain laboratory instruments and equipment to ensure optimal performance. Participate in general lab upkeep, including supply inventory, equipment calibration, and cleanliness. Collaborate with cross-functional teams within the organization, as well as with external partners as needed. Skills Experience with microbial culturing, aseptic techniques, and microbial quantification methods. Strong attention to detail and ability to follow complex protocols accurately. Effective communication skills, both written and verbal, for reporting and collaboration. Ability to work independently as well as part of a multidisciplinary team. Qualifications Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Microbiology, Molecular Biology, or a related field.
